Our Cause


The Anxious Yogi is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit addressing the mental health crisis where traditional systems fall short. Through trauma-informed, culturally responsive programming, we're building a movement where healing is accessible, embodied, and rooted in community.

Our Programs


Our services are curated by experts and researchers across the disciplines of mental health, yoga, and psychology.

Therapeutic Yoga

Yoga is therapeutic when the intention is to have optimal health, full range of motion, and physical independence. Each session is private, therapeutic, and designed to address your specific needs, whether you’re recovering from an injury, expanding range of motion, or aligning your body.

Meditation + Pranayama Circle

We meditate in small groups each weekday to reduce mental overload, reprogram our neural pathways and train the mind to actively focusing on a single point or object. Breath regulation, or pranayama, increases the oxygen supply to your brain and stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, resulting in a calmer, more relaxed state

The Global Majority

Our aim is to create a compassionate and welcoming space for individuals with similar experience. This healing circle is for Black and Brown individuals to process their experiences, build connections, and skills, without the fear of stigma or judgement.

Somatic Workshops

We invite guest speakers to dive deep into the roots of our anxiety and the stories we tell ourselves. We listen to our body, identify triggers, adjust behaviors, release tension, and build resilience.
